In a person’s life when change has to come. The change that needs to take place; has to happen  regardless of what is going on around you.

Have you ever found yourself going around and around in circles, and each time you come back to that same place; tiredness? You find yourself frustrated, guilty, annoyed, dissapointed, and all this because you have not made any changes to your life or are reluctant to.

Until you take dastric measures

and I mean make radical changes to your life and daily routines, you’ll find yourself frustrated in that you’re not progressing.

In order to progress in life you need to sacrifice. Success equates to sacrifice and vice versa. You’ll need to sacrfice time, money, energy and maybe more to esure that you become who God called you to be.

Until you value your calling; you will not sacrifice for it. Until you realise that you are set apart from your peers; the desire to change will not be there. So get frustrated at your current situation; see that you are worth more and start making changes. Start today. Make a life changing decision today.

  • Bite the bullet and enrol on that course
  • Bite the bullet and leave that abusive relationship. It may not even be abusive but you know it’s not right; so walk away.
  • Leave that toxic friendship
  • Leave that toxic environment

Allow yourself to be free to be YOU.

Genesis 1
Lessons from the story of Creation

The story of creation. Every time I read about how we were created I am truly amazed. I have come to see that God created us for a purpose. To cultivate/ manage His work. It took Him six days to create the earth. As we know a day on earth can equate to thousands of years in God’s timing. But that’s not what is important. What caught my eye or ministered to me was how proud God was at the end of each day. Throughout out chapter 1 verses end with ‘and God so that it was good (fitting, admirable ) and He approved it (AMP). As I read these lines I realised that if we are to be like Jesus, who is God, then we must be proud of what we do at the end of each day. We should look at our work, creations and conversations at the end of the day and be proud of it. We should be able to find our work fitting and admirable. For our work to be admirable, suitable and fitting, we need to aim for it to be so. Easily said and may seem like common sense or knowledge. But aiming to be proud of of our work is at times not our goal. For example when you got to work and your manager gives you a task, you may complete it in the manner of ‘I’ll just do it and getting over and done with’. The Bible teaches us to work as if working for God and not man. So when we approach certain tasks at work and at church, we should be able to say, ‘ I’ll do my best on this’. At the need of the day, you and I should be able to look at a hard day’s work and say yes ‘it is good and suitable and fitting’ for our God. For we serve a good God, and everything we do is for His glory. Even our secular is for His glory, for when we do well God is glorified and magnified in the eyes of those who see how we work. God never allowed a day to go by without completing something. Each day He saw what was needed to do and done it. In the evening He rested, he regained strength and continued the next day. Don’t overwork yourself and neither be lazy. When the time Came for God to rest He rested. Work hard now, invest all that youthful energy into ministry and a time will come when you can rest. Don’t allow a day to waste this year. Each day must mean something; read a chapter of a book write a chapter of a book. Let each day you are given on this earth count for so etching. For we were created for a purpose. Spend a some hours a day working towards fulfilling that purpose.

May God give us the grace to work to best if our ability and be proud of our accomplishments at the end of each day. May we face each day’s challenge with hope and the right attitude. In Jesus Name.Amen.

I’ve spent the last few hours pondering on what to write. This evening, I received a nice little shock in my inbox. It was after our weekly home fellowships that I opened my inbox to find Andrew Bello’s next tune!! Now if any of you follow this artist you will know that this is almost unexpected especially after what has happened to our brother this month alone. Before I give you a review of the song, let me tell you a little about what this guy has faced in the last couple months.

The last couple of months of 2013 were bitter sweeter for Bello. At a point his video for ‘I no fit shout at all’ was removed by YouTube. His team quickly worked on getting it back online and by the grace of God it is now back! During this time he also released a new track, call on His name, which is still on replay for me! May I just we are still waiting for the video Andrew!! Anyway, he has since released another track.

Not long after all this successes, Bello became a victim of the London knife crime. He was robbed at knife point but by the grace of God, his life was spared and what amazed me about Bello was how he handled this situation. The scripture comes to mind, overcome evil by doing good, Rom 12:21. This is exactly what Bello did. He chose not bad mouth these youths but encouraged us all to pray for them. He has also joined the ‘say no to knife crime’

You probably thinking why all this info? Well, I believe that collectively all these events have led Bello to write this song. Unfortunately, I cannot and will not share the song, y’all will just have to wait for the official release. I’m promised it’s going to be shock for us all, even I don’t how he plans to release this track but he seems excited and has promised me that I’d be the first to let y’all know!!

The song is titled ‘no more tears’ and in my humble opinion I can say that this song is deep!
I felt the pain in this guy’s heart as he wrote. Felt like I was there when he wrote the song, lol. Seriously though, after all this guy gone through I can see how he felt writing this song.

There comes a time in life, when you’ve reached what I call the tearless barrier. There is literally no tears left to cry. When you’ve witnessed so much pain, gone through so much heartache that no matter what comes next it cannot break. I speak from experience. When I heard this song honestly, it’s as if my heart needed to hear it. It’s not wrong to feel like this, so long as you have given it all to God. God wants us to have joy in abundance and I think that excludes tears.

The song is very different from his usual but it’s deep. It’s soul lifting and thought provoking. It’s not what we use to but Bello and and his Producers @Captain19UK @Gabz_Amadi ) have done well. The song still has the same style of thought provoking verses with a short and catchy chorus, which I personally love. I’ll give you a couple lines from the track which is literally the chorus, by God’s grace when the track is released I can give you the full lyrics.

There’s no more tears in my system
No more tears in my system

Be on a look out for this track… Guaranteed to get you thinking and thanking God for where you are. Let’s work together with God and the Holy Spirit to put an end to unnecessary pain!

By the grace of God I got to hear CALL ON HIS NAME before it’s official release date TODAY 25th November. When I first got this song, I was immediately drawn to remembrance. I remembered where God brought me from and how I hot to where I am. It was by calling on the name of God. I was encouraged by this song; encouraged to remember God in my good and bad. I spoke to Andrew and he mentioned that at the time of writing this song, he was facing some challenges in the industry. Especially in relation to his prior single I no fit shout. Can’t go into much detail, but Andrew did say that this  is a testimony to what God is doing in His life.
Have a read at the lyrics… The song will be available for download on soundcloud as of TOADY!!!

See I go call on you
My feet dey follow you
I cannot do this on my own
No be lie I won’t prosper at all

I’m stranded without you lord
Come and rescue me
I’ll fail in life without you
Can you hear me

Eh yo eh yo!
Your love is never failing
You took me from the miry clay
Now I’m not the same

Eh yo! Eh yo!
Your love is never changing
When I was down you came for me
I’ll keep calli

Call His name
Call on His name
When you call on His name it gives us joy assurance and happiness.

Verse 2
I’ll get my breakthrough one day
No man can see how I feel inside
Baba go find my way
I listen to the words that you say

No fronting, no stunting
I’ll place everything at your feet
No fronting, no stunting
I cannot deceive myself

Eh yo! Eh yo!
You see my heart needs you
Take me away from the pain
Let your mercy see me through
Eh yo! Eh yo!
Right now I’m standing
I surrender in worship
Let your peace fall on me

Call His name
Call on His name
When you call on His name it gives us joy assurance and happiness.

Verse 3

I read Jeremiah 33 coz in the place of weakness the enemy can hurt me
when I lose focus my heart turns cold
I cling to the cross now my heart’s controlled

(Yeah, yeah) I’m stuck so imma call on his name
it’s playtime now but this is more than a game
I’ve gotta get my life right so I play calm
running out of patience ring the alarm

He brings peace and joy so ive gotta stay close
I’m holding his hand while I stand when the rain blows
my self confidence is low…
I welcome the Holy Spirit now coz it’s time that my mind grows

So I call on him it’s Christ that I lean on
I read the word of God it’s that which I feed on
I can see the changes coming now it’s in place
I can see myself growing now it’s in grace/

On a car journey, there was a conversation flowing about demons and their activities.

Especially those demons we struggling with that we dont share. Im usually lost in these convos and I cn admit that at times my mind goes on vacation. But when they started talking about this particular demon its as if there was spiritual lightbulb moment; like why have u not clocked this yourself?!

So anyway, they were saying that “not trusting anyone at all is a demonic activity” (Ive paraphrased).

The thing is most of us have that issue. I can say that it is something that is accepted by modern society not by God. As put my brothers and sisters in that car, ” if u dont trust any man, then u dont trust God. Your marriage will not work or u will never marry. U dont trust ur pastor to pray or counsel you.  And saddest of all u dont trust God. How can u not trust the one u can see and claim to trust the One you cannot see?”  Logically think about it.

This is one that I know as young girls and sometimes women, we suffer from. We build this protective wall around our heart and emotions from hurt. We just cant take another heart break. Another dissapoint. As divinely put by one of the women of God in the car; you’re only doing this doing this because uve already been hurt; dissapointed; heart has been broken and u have vowed never to let it happen again. You are only hurting yourself. You are  blocking so many doors from being opened in ur life. Let Go and Let God.  Let ur pastor/Rev or Minister pray for u. Yourself, continue to pray for healing. Healing so u can trust again. IN THE NAME OF JESUS!

BUT be careful not to put ur trust in man for the bible says in
Isaiah 2:22 NIV
Stop trusting in mere humans,
who have but a breath in their nostrils.
Why hold them in esteem?.

The Dictionary definition for trust is

1. Reliance on the integrity, strength, ability, surety, etc., of a person or thing; confidence.
2. confident expectation of something; hope.

We are directly told by God not to trust in man. Don’t put our trust in them. The moment u decide to put your trust in a human, u preparing for a heart break, disappointment, anger, bitterness and so much more.

Hope this blesses someone who is reading this. I shall continue on this topic next week.

Hey ppls! So I gotta say, I’m so sorry. It’s been a year since I last posted! There’s a rerason for this and I hope y’all will find it in you hearts to forgive me :-).

Why have I been off for so long?  Since u asked! Its been a rollercoster yer to be honest! Malawi was great and all but I felt that I wasn’t in the right mind frame to be encouraging y’all as I needed some encouragement myself. As well as Uni, it wasn’t easy at all! SO anyway Im back with more knowledge and wisdom by God’s grace. I aint saying I am where I want to be, but God knows why He’s been asking me to jump on this again. I tell u I do not know what I wil write, I can’t say this will take any form, but one thing I can assure u is that everything I write will be lead by The Holy Spirit. If I don’t post for a few days, forgive me. I am praying that God will be exalted thru this blog. That many of you will get to know HIm like never before and that I will also be encouraged by you.

I leave you with Ephesians 6:10

Finally, be strong in the Lord and in his mighty power. NIV.

Don’t find your strength in your relations. They don’t have as much strength as our Lord Jesus Christ.Be strengthened in His work. Be Strengthened by His Holy Spirit. Don’t give up on God.

Ok… I know some of u thinking I’m smoking but this may actually interest you.

A random thought I just had actually. Sex and intimacy is something of a taboo in the Christian world. But we gotta talk about it. Especially with our young ladies ( oh yh nd the Bois!) who are surrounded by all this sexual tension and pressure! I mean come on now, we all know that it goes on, even in our churches… I bet ur eyebrows raised rite abou now huh?! Hehe
Seriously though, sex and intimacy is something we need to educate ourselves on and tackle, especially within the church.
So what does our bible tell us about sex?! It’s a holy act of love…( u probably thinking “yh she on drugs again”). But I’m actually being real. When God created men and women He clearly state that we need to multiply, therefore God created sex and gave us permission to have a physically intimate relationship with our ” wives/husbands”. That’s what sex is for primarily. But what we have done as a people into a sin against the holy temple of God.

Ok, some of you maybe confused but, let me confuse you some more. Our bodies are temples of God. God lives in you. Therefore your body is a temple. once u start having sex outside of marriage (fornication, adultery), u have told God that He no longer lives you. Therefore serving the devil.
How does that work I hear u say… K… Look at it this way, when u r de sully active with a person, you become one. Your souls are joined together ( hence why sex is usually left for your first night of marriage). You are exchanging the one thing no other man/woman should be able to share wiv u.
Dint u realise that once you sleep wiv someone something comes over you? You may start to get jealous and question the persons reason for sleeping with you. U begin to lower yourself to a place God never intended you to be.
You have an intimate relationship and connection with a person God did not prepare for you and before you know it you doubt yourself. And the enemy starts to plant seeds of evil thoughts of jealousy, anger, guilt, self-hatred!

Why put yourself through this? Shame the devil and keep yourself for ur destined wife/husband. Don’t allow te enemy to make you believe that you must test drive before you buy, coz trust me I God says that’s the one for you then He has made that person to suit your every needs and desires. Sexually as well. Go created sex, He wants us to enjoy it. But in the way He intended in a marital home.

Sex, has been known to be a killer. But also a giver of life.
